KSA non-oil exports down 9% in February

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports fell 8.8% in February 2017.

Non-oil exports reached SAR 12.62 billion ($3.37 billion) in February, compared to SAR 13.84 billion ($3.69 billion) in the year-ago period.

The non-oil exports’ value also went down 10% or SAR 1.39 billion month-on-month in February, according to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics.

Products of plastics and rubber inched down 1% to SAR 3.97 billion in February from SAR 4 billion in the same month of the previous year.

Moreover, products of the chemical or allied industries retreated 7.4% to reach SAR 3.59 billion in February 2017 compared to SAR 3.87 billion in February 2016.

Saudi exports to the GCC declined 18% year-on-year to SAR 3.46 billion in February from SAR 4.22 billion.

The UAE topped the partner countries for exports by around SAR 1.7 billion, while China came second with SAR 1.17 billion in February.
